Daddy!RussiaXChild!Reader: I’d die for you

Before:
‘Aunt Natalia?’ you asked as you spotted the woman inside the closet. She didn’t answer and just shoved you out of the way to go to the living room. You shrugged. She was your dad’s problem now and you weren’t going to help him this time.

You entered your room and quickly ran over to your bed because the room started to spin. Black spots appeared in your vision and your whole world went black as your head hit the pillow.

‘Sunflower? Are you okay?’ a soft, sorrowful voice said. But it sounded far away. You blinked and opened your eyes, seeing your father’s concerned face.

‘Go away,’ you growled while rubbing your head.

‘I’m so sorry, sunflower,’ your daddy whispered. ‘It turned out that Natalia destroyed the vase...’

‘Please, go away,’ you mumbled, hiding your tears from him.

‘A-are you crying, sunflower?’ Ivan asked in disbelief. He hadn’t seen you cry for at least four years! ‘Can I do anything to make you feel better? I will do anything.’

You now sat up and looked at him before crashing into his arms. You buried your face into his chest and cried. Ivan hugged you and whispered he was so terribly sorry. He didn’t even care about the fact that his scarf was getting all dirty because of your blood. He had seen a lot of blood in his lifetime, but only your blood made him sad.

‘You will forgive me, da?’ he whispered.

It took you a few seconds to think of an answer, but you realised you loved your daddy, even though he had hurt you so bad. He couldn’t help it, right?

‘Da...’ you whispered.

(~ Enormous timeskip, veee ~)

‘D-dad?’ you asked, entering the room hesitantly. ‘How do I look?’

Tonight was prom night. You were 17 years old now and wearing your beautiful (f/c) dress you had bought for tonight.

Ivan looked up and saw his daughter, probably being the most beautiful person he had ever seen in his entire life.

‘Y-you look amazing, sunflower,’ he smiled proudly.

‘Really?’

‘Da, really.’

‘Great!’ you grinned when the doorbell rang. ‘Oh, that’s my ride! I’ve got to go!’

You hugged your dad, grabbed your stuff and left.

The prom was amazing. You danced all night with your friends because you didn’t have a date. But who cared about dates anyway? The party ended and you went outside, searching for your friend who had promised to take you home after the prom. But they had already left. You mumbled all the bad words ladies shouldn’t even know and promised yourself that you would strangle your friend tomorrow. But that didn’t solve anything right now, so you decided you’d call your dad to pick you up.

‘What?’ your dad replied when he heard that your so-called friend had left you alone on a creepy parking lot in the middle of the night. ‘What a (insert all kinds of colourful language here)! I’ll pick you up, da?’

‘Da,’ you smiled. ‘See you soon!’

You hung up and decided you would wait inside your school, where they had kept the prom. But the door was closed, so you couldn’t enter the school anymore.

‘Hello?’ you called, trying to figure out if there was still somebody inside the school. But nobody answered.

‘Are you Ivan Braginski’s daughter?’ some shaggy voice behind you said.

‘Da,’ you answered as you turned around to face him. ‘Why do you ask? And who are you?’

‘Don’t ask so much questions, just come with me,’ he said. ‘Your father asked me to pick you up.’

‘I don’t believe you,’ you crossed your arms in front of your chest.

‘Too bad,’ he said, grabbing your wrist and pulling you along.

‘H-hey! Stop that!’ you screamed. ‘Help!’

‘Nobody will hear you scream,’ the guy chuckled. Cliché much? You sighed and smacked him with your purse. The guy took your purse away without even caring about the fact that you just hit him and pulled out a gun. Now you had to follow him. But you heard a car stop right behind you and the guy. Your dad’s car!

‘_____!’ Ivan called as he jumped out of the car and ran over to you.

‘Don’t move, mister Braginski!’ the guy said, pointing the gun at your head. Your dad froze as he saw the dangerous thing.

‘What do you want, Chovski?’ Ivan growled.

‘I want you to give the country of Russia to me,’ Chovski simply stated.

‘Don’t be silly, da?’ Ivan laughed while grabbing his water faucet. ‘That’s never going to happen.’

‘Well, say goodbye to your lovely daughter, then!’ Chovski grinned while wrapping his finger around the trigger. You felt your heart racing in your chest. Sweat started to stream down your face as you stared at your dad’s scared expression. He didn’t know what to do, and that frightened you most. The fact that you could die right there hadn’t fully penetrated in your mind yet.

‘Wait!’ Ivan screamed.

Chovski chuckled and whistled a tune which made five other men appear on the street. ‘No funny business Braginski. Hand me over your country by signing this, da?’

The guy handed your dad a paper and a pen, and he therefore lost his focus on you. You stepped on his foot, grabbed his wrist and punched him in his stomach. Chovski fell on the ground, but he managed to scream a command to his men. The men attacked you and your father, but you had your purse back and with your amazing fighting skills you managed to knock out two of them. Ivan hit the other three with his water faucet, so now the only one left was Chovski. But Chovski was the only one with a gun. He shot at you, but missed. He shot again and he managed to shot your arm. You moaned and fell to the ground, hearing your dad scream something. You struggled to push away the blackness that was trying to eat you. You heard another shot and saw something sink down to the ground. Daddy? You also saw that Ivan had managed to knock out Chovski with his water faucet, but before Chovski had collapsed he had made another shot and had hit your daddy. You crawled over to his body, seeing blood all over him.

‘D-daddy?’ you squeaked. You had stopped calling your dad “daddy”, but you had forgotten about that now, as you saw his defeated body.

‘Sunflower,’ his weak voice said. He was still alive! ‘Listen to me, if I die now -’

‘Don’t say that! I will call an ambulance and we’ll be fine!’ you cried.

‘Listen to me, da? I don’t know how much time I have left...’ Ivan whispered. ‘I want you to take care of my country when I’m gone, da?’

‘O-okay...’ you whispered, trying to catch every word he said.

‘And you must know that I love you very much, and I will always be proud of you,’ he mumbled.

‘I love you too, daddy...’ you told him, but his eyes were already closed and his heartbeat was slowing down. You looked down at your once so beautiful dress which was now covered with blood. Prom night had been great... But this was like a nightmare. You laid down your head on your daddy’s chest and allowed the darkness to join you.

You woke up with the feeling that you were about to throw up. You looked around and saw that you were now in a hospital bed, with clean clothing and all kinds of devices next to your bed.

‘D-daddy?’ you mumbled. You had to get out of here! You had to find your daddy!

‘Ah, you’re awake!’ a blonde woman smiled as she entered the room. ‘My name is Maria, and I’m a nurse here. You can trust me.’

You just stared at her. No way you would ever trust her. What had they done to your dad?

‘I-I’ve got to go...’ you said while getting up and unplugging some wires that were connected to your body.

‘No, you’ve got to stay here and try to sleep,’ Maria said, pushing you down again.

‘No!’ you said, pushing her away with a surprising amount of strength. You managed to get out of the bed and ran away through the hallway. But you didn’t know where they were keeping your dad, so when you spotted a man with white clothing and a clipboard, you decided to ask him.

‘Mister Braginski? He’s in room 204,’ he answered. ‘But aren’t you supposed to -’

‘Thank you!’ you waved as you ran away to find room 204.

When you had finally found the room, you hesitated. What if your daddy had already died? But that couldn’t be true. So you just entered the room. There he was. He looked so... defeated... There were some devices next to him that showed weird things on a screen, but you didn’t care.

‘Daddy?’ you whispered, getting closer to him. But he didn’t answer, he was asleep. You sat down and waited until something would happen or Maria would find you. The last thing happened five minutes after you had entered room 204.

‘Here you are,’ she smiled. ‘I found her, Thomas.’

Maria and some guy named Thomas entered the room.

‘Is this your father?’ Maria asked, putting her hand on your shoulder.

‘Da,’ you said, shoving her hand off your body.

‘I’m sorry,’ Maria said. You didn’t know if she meant the hand on your shoulder or the condition your daddy was in.

‘Will he survive?’ you asked her without even looking at her.

‘I- I don’t know,’ Maria sighed. ‘I honestly don’t know.’

‘Oh.’

‘We’ll leave you alone now, okay? Just call us by pushing this button if you need anything, okay?’

‘Okay,’ you said and they left. You sat there for who knows how long before you started feeling tired. You dozed off and fell asleep. Next thing you knew was that you were being awakened by some annoying sound.

Beep. Beep. Beep...

Maria and Thomas and some other people ran into the room, looking at the monitors.

‘What’s wrong?’ you asked Maria, staring at her with your eyes wide open.

‘He’s gone...’ she whispered. ‘I’m so sorry...’

‘You’re lying!’ you screamed with fear filling your heart. ‘That can’t be!’

But Maria just nodded and pointed at one of the screens. ‘It’s true. His heart has stopped beating.’

And you collapsed. You laid your head on Ivan’s chest and cried. How did this happen? How could something as stupid as a man with a gun defeat your daddy? He was the strongest, most powerful person you had even met and now he was gone! Your heart had broken into a million pieces as you stroked his hair. You realised you would never see his smile again, or his purple eyes. He would never be able to hug you again or tickle you to awake you when breakfast was ready. You couldn’t give him any more sunflowers or buy his favorite vodka for his birthday. Because he was gone. Your daddy was gone and it was all your fault. If only you hadn’t allowed Chovski to take you with him, if only you would’ve been stronger. If only...

Beep...

What? Why didn’t that annoying device just leave you alone? You already knew he was gone...!

Beep.

You looked up. Something was happening. Maria stared at the screen and pushed some buttons.

Beep.

‘Hey, sunflower...’ you heard a weak, though familiar voice say. Daddy? You quickly turned around to face him again and saw that he was alive and smiling at you? What?

‘Daddy!’ you screamed, throwing your hands up in the air with amazement, even your hurt, wounded arm you didn’t care about anymore.

Ivan chuckled at the expression on your face.

‘Y-you were gone! They told me you had died!’ you said.

‘Oh, sunflower...’ Ivan smiled. ‘Something stupid like a guy with a gun can’t defeat me, da?’

‘Of course he can’t defeat you...’ you grinned while wiping away some of your tears.

‘We’re going to be fine, da?’ your dad stated.

‘Da,’ you whispered while giving your daddy a hug. Everything was going to be fine...
Yup, the second (and last) part! :D

[1] PLEASE tell me if I made any mistakes.
[2] Comments are VERY much appreciated, hehehe.
[3] Hetalia belongs to mister Himaruya.
[4] You belong to Mother Russia, da?

Oh, and some people will ask you not to be harsh if you decide to leave a comment, but I ask you to just tell me whatever you want (but only if you don't go all Romano-style and use every colourful word your mother doesn't want you to use.)
